World Consumer Rights day is observed on March15 wchich aims to global awareness about consumer rights, protection,empowerment . In GCTE(Government College of Teacher Education, Thycaud the celebration was held on 24th March, 2026 at 9:20 AM by the commerce association which raised awareness among the teacher educators about the consumer rights, law and grievance readdrassal mechanisms.

Inter-coollegiate cricket tournament was organised in our college GCTE on 24th March, 2026 in which our college team won the match

An intercollegiate Quiz competition was organised by All India Women’s Conference(AIWC) and Alcohol and Drug Information Centre(ADIC) together  commemorating the 31st death anniversary of Smt. Lakshmi N Menon who was a social activist, educationalist and former union minister of external affairs.   The quiz programme was conducted on December 1 Monday at Government College for Women, Thiruvananthapuram.   The quiz was led by Sree. Jonson who is popularly known as son of Smt. Lakhmi N Menon not by blood but by deed. There were two rounds in the quiz, initially a preliminary round followed by a final round. Only 5 groups were selected to the final round. In this final round there were 10 rounds. I (Abhishek T P) along with Avani were representing Government College of Teacher education in the quiz and we were awarded with 3 rd  Prize in the competition. A trophy and certificate were given to both of us.

 is celebrated all over the world on December 5th  to raise awareness about the importance of healthy soil and to advocate for sustainable management of soil resources. In our college, GCTE(Government College of Teacher Education) a quiz competition was conducted by Geography association on December 4th. The quiz was open for all first year B.Ed students and it marked actiivve participation from the students. The questions were knowledge enriching and informative they mainly focussed on Indian geography and mountain systems. There were 10 questions in the quiz and a additional tie breaker round was conducted for determining the 3rd position.
